We stayed the longest so far with marks close friends Jim and Linda. They live in the million dollar channel that is the official name Jim gave it. They just remodeled their house very nice. Their backyard is right at the canal. We threw Luke and Bailey to the water but since they couldn’t touch the bottom they swam right back and hold themselves very tight to the stairs.
We worked a lot on the motor home while at our stay. We buffered and wax the motor home, bought new couches, changed lighting fixtures, added kitty litter place, removed old tvs, installed flat tv, bought new dinette cushions, fixed the fridge, changed the batteries, etc. Well Mark did most of it.
Jim and Linda adopted me, they are great people and they made me feel like part of the family. They gave me a very special gift, a pendant that means peace, love and open heart, which means that if your heart is open love always will find its way in. I have wear it since. We only knew each other for about 2 weeks which was more than enough for me to embrace them as my family.
Jim used to race so he took us to the races which was a lot of fun. He took us to eat at Joe Joe’s Pizza which is my favorite. Also he took us to many other places like the amish towns, where I was impressed by the buggies, the horses with cute baby horses, by their hard work and their delicious homemade food.
Jim and Linda like to explore by driving through local streets and they showed us a mint farm of one of their friends. They had big containers where they usually heat the mint to extract the oils and also a silo which I wished I could have climbed, it was super high and it seems that from up there you could see the whole town. I am a city girl but I like farms except for the bugs, and when I have allergies, and… ok might not be suitable for farms but I still like them.
El lugar en donde nos hemos quedado por el periodo mas largo de tiempo es en casa de Jim y Linda que son amigos muy cercanos de Mark. Ellos viven en el canal de un millon de dolares, ese es el nombre oficial que Jim le dio a el canal. Acaban de remodelar su casa muy bonita. Su patio da directamente al canal de agua. Lanzamos los perros al agua pero como no podian tocar el fondo nadaron imediatamente a las escaleras en donde se agarraron fuertemente.
Trabajamos mucho en la casa rodante mientras nos quedamos aqui. Enceramos la casa rodante, compramos sillones nuevos, cambiamos las lamparas, agregamos en donde el gato va al banio, quitamos las televisiones viejas, instalamos una television de pantalla plana, compramos nuevos colchones para los sillones en donde comemos, mandamos arreglar el refrigerador, cambiamos las batterias, etc. Bueno Mark hizo la mayoria 
Jim y linda me adoptaron, son muy buenas personas y ya me siento como parte de la familia. Me regalaron algo muy especial, un pendiente que significa paz, amor y corazon abierto, y significa que si tienes un corazon abierto el amor siempre encontrara la forma de entrar. Lo traigo puesto desde que me lo dieron. Solo nos conociamos como por 2 semanas lo cual fue suficiente para mi para aceptarlos como mi familia.
Jim corria carreras de carros asi que nos llevo a una carrera la cual fue muy divertida. Nos llevo a comer a Joe Joe’s Pizza es mi favorita. Tambien nos llevo a muchos otros lugares dentro de los cuales vimos un pueblo amish, donde yo estaba impresionada por sus carritos jalados por caballos, los lindos caballitos que llevaban poco de nacidos, el trabajo arduo de esa comunidad y su deliciosa comida casera.
A Jim and Linda les gusta explorar mientras manejan a traves de calles locales y nos enseniaron una granja de hierbabuena de uno de sus amigos. Tenian grandes contenedores en donde usualmente calientan la hierbabuena para extraer el aceite y tambien tenian un silo el cual quisiera haber escalado, era altisimo y parecia que desde arriba puedes ver el pueblo entero. Soy chica de ciudad pero me gustan las granjas excepto los insectos, y cuando me dan alergias, y… ok a lo mejor no soy idonea para estar en granjas pero de todas formas me gustan.
