When we arrived I didn’t know what to expect, to tell you the truth I didn’t know anything about Milwaukee, not even how to spell the name. We stayed at the State Fair Grounds. Our neighbor Elise introduced herself, she is interesting. After talking with her I felt that our thinking was very close and that she is pretty cool. She grooms dogs, has a pottery studio, works on swimming pools and travels all the time. She also has many dogs, cats and horses in 57 acres that she owns. Elise was camping in a van and came for 3 days to summer fest to listen to music all day long. In the second day Mark and I adventured biking to go to the summer fest. After biking for a while I realized how cool this city was. It is very urban style with many lofts that have big patios. Their art museum is a cool looking building and the discovery which is their science museum building. At the end we decided not to go to the summer fest but biked all along around it and go to see the stages from outside. I have noticed that sometimes not planning is better and you get to see neat places just by chance. We ended up in the Harley Davidson museum they had an event and many bikes were outside. We came back after dark riding fast, next day I was sore, it surprised me how fast I loose my fitness, although we covered many miles 
By reading about the history of the state I realized that the new improvements on the city… lofts, art museum, etc were done not to long ago and that they have about 5 mayor companies that were in Fortune 100. It seems that managerial and service jobs are what runs this city nowadays although their are still known for their dairy products and their Miller brewery.
Tonight we biked to watch a baseball game between Wisconsin Brewers and Cincinnati Reds. The stadium is so cool and we ended up winning (brewers) at the last minute like in movies. We were down by 1 and won at the very end in the last play. It was a great game.
Cuando llegamos no sabia que esperar the esta ciudad, para ser honesta no sabia nada de Milwaukee ni siquiera como deletrear el nombre. Nos quedamos en la propiedad de la feria estatal. Nuestra vecina Elise, la cual es bastante interesante, se presento cuando nos vio. Despues de platicar largo rato con ella me di cuenta de que nuestra manera de pensar es muy parecida y me cayo muy bien. Ella se dedica a cortar el perro a perros, tiene un area para hacer cosas de ceramica para ella, trabaja en albercas y viaja todo el tiempo. Tambien tiene varios perros, gatos y caballos en su propiedad que abarca 57 acres. Elise acampo en una van y vino por 3 dias a Milwaukee al festival llamado Summer fest a escuchar musica todo el dia. Al dia siguiente Mark y yo nos aventuramos en las bicicletas para ver el festival. Despues de un rato me me di cuenta que la ciudad esta muy padre. Es estilo urbao con muchos lofts con patios grandes. Su museo de arte es un edificio bastante padre. Al final decidimos no ir al festival pero anduvimos en nuestras bicis todo alrededor del festival y vimos de fuera los escenarios. Me he dado cuenta que a veces no planear es mejor y terminas viendo lugares muy padres y todo por casualidad. Terminamos pasando por el mueo de Harley Davidson y tenian un evento y muchas motocicletas estaban afuera del edificio estacionadas. Nos devolvimos ya de noche, pedaleando fuerte, al dia siguiente estaba adolorida de las piernas, me sorprende que rapido pierdo mi condicion fisica muy pronto, bueno aunque anduvimos en la bici por varias millas
Lei la historia de este estado y me di cuenta que las mejoras a esta ciudad… lofts, museo de arte, etc. fueron hechas hace poco y que tienen 5 gran companias que fueron parte de Fortune 100. Al parecer trabajos administrativos y de servicios son los que predominan esta ciudad hoy en dia, aunque siguen siendo conocidos por sus productos lacteos y su cerveceria Miller.
Esta noche fuimos al juego de baseball entre Wisconsin Brewers y Cincinnati Reds. El estadio esta muy padre y terminamos ganando (brewers) como en las peliculas al final. Ibamos perdiendo por una carrera y ganamos en la ultima jugada. Fue un juego espectacular.
